How to reach us
Our hotel is located in the small Lower Engadine village of Brail, in a narrows - in Romansh ‘Clus’ - which marks the border between the Upper and the Lower Engadine. The Lower Engadine, ‘Engiadina bassa’, begins at the border of the Austrian border town of Pfunds to the Swiss customs station of Martina and ends in Brail at the border to the Upper Engadine, ‘Engiadin'ota’.

Opening Hours Autumn 2026
The IN LAIN Hotel Cadonau will close on Sunday, 15 November 2026, and will reopen on Thursday, 3 December 2026, with all restaurants open again.
VIVANDA and the Käserei will be closed from Friday, 29 October 2026, through Wednesday, 2 December 2026, inclusive.
Opening Hours - Spring 2027
The restaurants and the hotel will remain closed from Easter Monday, 29 March 2027, through Tuesday, 4 May 2027, inclusive.
