Directions & Transport

Our hotel is located in the small Lower Engadine village of Brail, in a narrows - in Romansh ‘Clus’ - which marks the border between the Upper and the Lower Engadine. The Lower Engadine, ‘Engiadina bassa’, begins at the border of the Austrian border town of Pfunds to the Swiss customs station of Martina and ends in Brail at the border to the Upper Engadine, ‘Engiadin'ota’.

Arrival by Train

Take the Swiss railway SBB to Landquart. Change trains there and continue by RhB to Cinuos-chel Brail. As an alternative, the Albula route via Chur-Bergün-Samedan is wonderful. With its spiral tunnels and dizzying viaducts, the railway line through the Albula Valley into the Engadine is one of the most picturesque and interesting journeys in Europe.

We will be happy to pick you up free of charge at the railway station in Cinuos-chel - simply inform us of your arrival time.

Arrival by Car

You can reach the Engadine by car from anywhere in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Austria - comfortably and safely. Crossing the passes is not recommended during snowfall. The ideal and elegant solution is to transfer your vehicle onto the railway: via Veraina Autoverlad Klosters/Selfranga-Sagliains in the Lower Engadine (you can remain comfortably seated in your car).
